Slack

Slack is a delivery channel for DAM Alerting: when a rule fires, ALTR posts the alert to a Slack channel through the ALTR app.

Connect Slack from the notification integrations grid, the same as any other provider; see Notification Integrations for how to add, edit, test, and delete a connection. To create the connection on the Slack side (installing or authorizing the ALTR app in your workspace and choosing a destination channel), follow Slack’s own app documentation.

Note

Once a Slack connection is saved, ALTR only uses it to post alert notifications. It does not read Slack messages or channel content.
