Remove Instances

Sidecar instances run independently of ALTR’s control plane, wherever you’ve deployed them. As they check in with ALTR, they appear on the Instances tab of the sidecar page.

Using the Status and Last Seen columns, you can identify an instance that has not checked in for a while and remove it from ALTR to clear it from the page.

Note

Removing an instance clears ALTR’s record of it from the control plane. It does not delete or change the instance itself, which continues running with whatever state it already had. If the instance checks in with ALTR again, it re-appears on the Instances tab.

To remove an instance from ALTR:

1. Log in to ALTRNet through your identity provider (IdP).
2. Select Settings > Sidecars in the navigation menu.
3. Click the sidecar to view its details.
4. Click the Instances tab.
5. Click View for the instance to remove from ALTR.
6. Click Remove Instance.
