| Alphabet Type | Alphabet used with a key and a tweak to encrypt the column. Options are: Alphabetic— encrypted data is only letters: a-z and A-Z Alphanumeric— encrypted data is letters and numbers: a-z, A-Z and 0-9 Numeric— encrypted data is only numbers: 0-9 NOTE: This field is only available if format-preserving encryption is enabled for your organization. |
| Classification Report (tab) | Click to view the results of the Snowflake or Google DLP classification scan of the database. Learn more . |
| Column | Column name as it appears in Snowflake within the selected table or view. NOTE: If your data doesn’t display in the dropdown, ensure your service user account has privileges to access the data. |
| Column Status | Connection status of the column. This field is the same as Status. Options are: Connected— Column has been successfully connected to ALTR. Encrypted— Column has been marked as containing encrypted columns. Error— Column failed to connect to ALTR; contact ALTR Support . In Progress— Column is being connected to ALTR. Tokenized — Column has been marked as containing tokens. This field is the same as Status. |
| Data Source | Data source name where the column resides. |
| Key | Name of the key used in format-preserving encryption. The key is unique, case sensitive and is 265 or fewer characters. NOTE: This field is only available if format-preserving encryption is enabled for your organization. |
| Name | Friendly name of the column. Enter a name for the column if you want to make the output easier to read and understand. |
| Schema | Schema name within the data source where the view resides. NOTE: If your data doesn’t display in the dropdown, ensure your service user account has privileges to access the data. |
| Status | Connection status of the column. This field is the same as Column Status. Options are: Connected— Column has been successfully connected to ALTR. Encrypted— Column has been marked as containing encrypted columns. Error— Column failed to connect to ALTR; contact ALTR Support . In Progress— Column is being connected to ALTR. Tokenized— Column has been marked as containing tokens. This field is the same as Column Status. |
| Table | Table name within the data source where the column resides. NOTE: If your data doesn’t display in the dropdown, ensure your service user account has privileges to access the data. |
| Tags (tab) | Click to view, connect and disconnect Snowflake object tags in ALTR. |
| Tweak | Name of the tweak used in format-preserving encryption. The key is unique, case sensitive and is 265 or fewer characters. NOTE: This field is only available if format-preserving encryption is enabled for your organization. |
| View | View name within the data source where the column resides. Use this field for governing views in Snowflake. Learn more. NOTE: If your data doesn’t display in the dropdown, ensure your service user account has privileges to access the data. |
| Which option applies to this column? | Select an integration type. Options are: Default masking— data access is controlled by ALTR using Snowflake masking policies and external functions. This is the default behavior for connecting Snowflake object tags to ALTR. Tokenization— data access is and detokenization are controlled by ALTR using Snowflake masking policies and external functions. If this tag is tokenized, ensure all values for this tag are tokenized Learn more .
