Ensuring ALTR Emails Reach Your Inbox

ALTR sends transactional emails for account operations such as account confirmations, password resets, two-factor authentication codes, and security notifications. To make sure these emails reach your inbox, add ALTR’s sending domain to your email allowlist.

All transactional emails from ALTR are sent from:

ALTR sends the following types of transactional emails:

  • Account confirmation — sent when a new administrator account is created.
  • Password reset — sent when you request a password reset.
  • Two-factor authentication codes — sent when email-based 2FA is enabled for your account.
  • Security notifications — sent to notify you of significant account or security events.
  • Access notifications — sent when data access requests are submitted or approved.

The steps to allowlist a sender domain vary by email provider.

To allowlist ALTR in Gmail:

  1. Open Gmail and click the gear icon to open Settings.
  2. Click See all settings, then select the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  3. Click Create a new filter.
  4. In the From field, enter @flare.altr.com.
  5. Click Create filter, then check Never send it to Spam.
  6. Click Create filter to save.

For organization-wide allowlisting, a Google Workspace administrator can add flare.altr.com to the approved senders list under Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Spam, Phishing and Malware.

To allowlist ALTR in Outlook:

  1. In Outlook, navigate to Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Junk email.
  2. Under Safe senders and domains, click Add.
  3. Enter flare.altr.com and click Save.

For organization-wide allowlisting, a Microsoft 365 administrator can add flare.altr.com to the anti-spam policy’s allowed sender domains list in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal.

For any other email client or provider, add flare.altr.com as a safe sender domain. Consult your email provider’s documentation for specific steps.

If your organization evaluates ALTR in a non-production environment, emails from those environments are sent from noreply@flare-dev.altr.com. Add flare-dev.altr.com to your allowlist as well, if needed.
