ALTR Managed Regex Collection
The ALTR Managed Regex default collection, shown as ALTR Managed on the Default Collections page, lets you classify common personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), payment card, network, and credential data without writing patterns yourself. Each classifier evaluates sampled row data with a Regex condition, so the collection makes no calls to an external classification service and runs at every classification processing location.
How the ALTR Managed Regex Collection Matches
Section titled “How the ALTR Managed Regex Collection Matches”Each classifier in the ALTR Managed Regex collection matches a column when at least 50% of its sampled values match the classifier’s pattern. A pattern can match anywhere within a value.
The ALTR Managed - Latitude and ALTR Managed - Longitude classifiers also use a Column Name condition. Each one matches only when the column name and the sampled values both match, and each sampled value must be a decimal number within the coordinate’s range.
Each classifier carries a type: tag that names its data type. The Google DLP, Amazon Comprehend, and Snowflake Native default collections use the same type: tags for the same data types.
On API Payloads
Section titled “On API Payloads”In AI Data Shield, the ALTR Managed Regex collection’s classifiers also match text in an API payload. On a payload, the Column Name condition in the ALTR Managed - Latitude and ALTR Managed - Longitude classifiers doesn’t apply, so those classifiers match on their values alone.
