Register a Sidecar Listener Port
A sidecar listener port is an open network port that data consumers use to access the sidecar. Registering a listener port configures the sidecar to broadcast as the specified database type and version over that port.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A sidecar has been registered.
To register a listener port for a sidecar:
- Log in to ALTRNet through your identity provider (IdP).
- Select Settings > Sidecars in the navigation menu.
- Select the sidecar.
- Click the Listener Ports tab.
- Click Register Port.
- Enter an open Port Number for the sidecar.
- Select the Database Type to associate with this port.
- Enter the Database Version to associate with this port.
- Click Register Port.
Remove a Sidecar Listener Port
Section titled “Remove a Sidecar Listener Port”Removing a sidecar listener port prevents data consumers from accessing the sidecar over that port. Remove any associated bindings before removing a port.
To remove a sidecar listener port:
- Log in to ALTRNet through your IdP.
- Select Settings > Sidecars in the navigation menu.
- Click the sidecar to view its details.
- Click the Listener Ports tab.
- Locate the port and click Remove. ALTRNet displays a confirmation modal.
- Click Remove Port to confirm.
