Create an ALTR Account via Snowflake Marketplace

Starting an ALTR trial from the Snowflake Marketplace listing creates your ALTR account and the required Snowflake objects automatically.

Prerequisites

• Snowflake Enterprise edition or higher.
• The ACCOUNTADMIN role, to start the trial. Ongoing use of ALTR doesn’t require the ACCOUNTADMIN role.

To start an ALTR trial from Snowflake Marketplace:

1. Log into Snowsight using an account with access to the ACCOUNTADMIN role.
2. Change your role to ACCOUNTADMIN.
3. Open the ALTR listing in Snowflake Marketplace directly, or select Data Products > Marketplace in the navigation menu and search for ALTR.
4. Click Start Free Trial.

ALTR emails you to set your ALTR password and start onboarding. Your username defaults to your email address, and your two-factor authentication method defaults to email. If that email doesn’t arrive, see Ensuring ALTR Emails Reach Your Inbox.

Note

If the email address you sign up with is already on file in an ALTR tenant, your Snowflake account connects to that existing tenant instead of creating a new one. Contact ALTR Support if you need a new, separate ALTR tenant created.

After your ALTR account exists, connecting Snowflake as a data source — granting the required privileges and adding a service user — happens as part of onboarding with Snowflake.
