Bind a Sidecar Port to a Repository
Notice
Prerequisites:
A repository has been registered
Sidecar has been registered
A port has been added to the sidecar
After registering your sidecars and repositories, bind them together in ALTR to enable the sidecar to connect to the repository. This binding maps a sidecar port to a repository port, allowing traffic to flow between them. A single sidecar can be bound to multiple repositories, but each port can only broadcast as one version of a database type and version.
To bind a repository to a sidecar:
Log into ALTR via Okta.
Verify you have one repository registered to ALTR and at least one sidecar port registered with the same database version as the repository before creating a binding.
Select Navigation menu.
→ in theClick the sidecar to view details.
Click the Bindings tab.
Click Create Binding.
Select a Sidecar Port.
Select a Repository.
Click Create Binding.
Removing a binding prevents repository users from connecting to the bound repository using the sidecar.
To remove a binding:
Log into ALTR via Okta.
Select Navigation menu.
→ in theClick the sidecar to view details.
Click the Bindings tab.
Locate the binding and click Remove; a modal displays to confirm.
Click Remove Binding.
