Register a Sidecar Listener Port
Sidecar listener ports are open network ports that data consumers will use to access the sidecar. Registering a listener port will configure the sidecar to broadcast as the relevant database version over the specified network port.
To register a listener port for a sidecar:
- Log into ALTR via Okta.
- Select SettingsSidecars in the Navigation menu.
- Select the sidecar.
- Click the Listener Ports tab.
- Click Register Port .
- Enter an open Port Number of the sidecar.
- Select the Database Type that will be associated with this port.
- Enter the Database Version that will be associated with this port.
- Click Register Port .
Remove a Sidecar Listener Port
Section titled “Remove a Sidecar Listener Port”Removing a sidecar listener port prevents data consumers from accessing the sidecar over the specified port. Remove any associated bindings before removing a sidecar port.
To remove a sidecar port from ALTR:
- Log into ALTR via Okta.
- Select SettingsSidecars in the Navigation menu.
- Click the sidecar to view details.
- Click the Listener Ports tab.
- Locate the port and click Remove ; a modal displays to confirm.
- Click Remove Port .
