- We now support Microsoft SQL Server databases. You can securely manage access to SQL Server databases at scale using ALTR’s sidecar proxy-based connection.To get started using SQL Server, reach out to ALTR Support for assistance.
- A new setting is available on the Sidecars page that lets unsupported queries run instead of failing: Allow unsupported queries . When enabled, queries that can’t be parsed will execute, enabling ALTR’s sidecar to still power activity monitoring and impersonation. However, this may result in unauthorized data access. By default, this setting is disabled.
This setting is useful if:
- You’re running queries that aren’t supported by ALTR.
- You don’t need access management policies to apply to those queries.
