Prerequisites for Onboarding to ALTR
For a successful enablement, ensure you have met the following prerequisites:

| Ensure you have the ACCOUNTADMIN role in Snowflake. This role is required to sign up for Snowflake Partner Connect and to grant access to ALTR. ALTR is not required to run as this role after setup. | Create network policies to whitelist ALTR’s IP addresses. ALTR must be able to communicate with Snowflake over the internet in order to apply and enforce data security policies. | Required | Snowflake Network Policies |

| Determine which method you will use to classify your data: Snowflake or Google DLP. If you are concerned about resource usage and speed, Google DLP may be the best option; but if your data cannot leave your Snowflake instance, then Snowflake Native is the better choice. | Optional | Sensitive Data Discovery |
