Locate Required Information to Connect
When connecting your account to ALTR, you will need the following information:
- Workspace Hostname
- Service Principal ID
- Cluster ID
- OAuth Secret
This section provides guidance on locating these fields in your Databricks account.
Workspace Hostname
Section titled “Workspace Hostname”The Workspace Hostname is the URL seen in the following image:
Service Principal ID
Section titled “Service Principal ID”The Service Principal ID is the UUID seen in the following image:
Cluster ID
Section titled “Cluster ID”The Cluster ID is located near the bottom of the Configuration tab for your compute.
To locate to the Cluster ID:
- Select Workspace URL .
- Click Compute listed under All Purpose Computer.
- Select the cluster that you created for your service principal to use.
- Scroll down to the bottom and expand Automatically added tags to expose the Clusterid.
OAuth Secret
Section titled “OAuth Secret”To locate the OAuth secret:
- Create a secret for your service principal.
- Click Generate Secret .
- Provide an expiration date; the following screen displays with the secret. (Secret credentials are blurred for this documentation.)
